JON HUTCHEON
Owner
Jon started High End Hockey in 2010 with a small skills group and one summer tournament team. Every year since then, High End Hockey has grown and has worked with over 500 players through skills, 3-on-3 leagues, and tournament teams. Jon works with players of all levels: NHL, AHL, ECHL, SPHL, SM-Liga, SEL, DEL, NCAA D1/D3, Junior A, Midget, Prep School, and even Learn to Play. Jon has also been a skills instructor for five (5) years with the NHL's Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues at their yearly Prospects Camp.
Jon has run skills clinics for over ten (10) years and has become well-known in the hockey community for the fast-paced, high-tempo programs he develops. His teaching is second to none as he is able to quickly identify players’ deficiencies and work with each player to correct them. Having spent four years as a family advisor, Jon has helped players earn spots at prep schools, junior teams, and NCAA Hockey programs. Under his guidance, players have gone on to play at every level in North America.
As a player, Jon had a successful career that included four (4) years playing professionally. He spent time in the Central Hockey League, Southern Pro Hockey League, and the All American Hockey League.
During the winter Jon is currently the Director of Hockey Operations at South Kent Selects Academy, where he also is head coach of the 16U team. In 2018-19, his program won the USA Hockey Tier 1 18U National Championship. Prior to joining he spent nine (9) years as a coach with the Neponset Valley River Rats 18U team. During his time with the River Rats his teams won a USA Hockey Tier 1 18U National Championship (2012-13) and a Massachusetts State Championship. He is the youngest head coach in USA Hockey history to coach a National Championship team.
